MEET JUSTIN
Justin Kirk was born and raised in Macomb County, shaped by the same working-class values, faith, and grit that define the community he’s proud to call home. Today, he still lives in Macomb, and he’s running for Congress with one mission: to bring Macomb County values to Washington and stand up for generations being left behind.
Growing up, Justin learned the true meaning of hard work and teamwork. He spent his childhood on the ice, playing youth and junior hockey, where discipline, self-reliance, and persistence were expected every single day. When a serious injury cut short his hockey career, he didn’t quit, he refocused. That moment taught him that setbacks don’t define you. How you respond does. It’s a lesson that’s guided him ever since.
Justin went on to earn a degree from the University of Michigan, then worked alongside the late Congressman Paul Mitchell, where he learned the meaning of servant leadership, and the importance of delivering results for Macomb families. With a growing passion for service and policy, he earned his law degree from the Michigan State University College of Law.
Professionally, Justin has built a respected legal career where he fights to help job creators, tradesmen, and small businesses navigate complex legal challenges and level the playing field in a system that gives large corporations the advantage. His work has given him a front-row seat to the hurdles facing Michigan’s economy and how overregulation and reckless spending make it harder for families to get ahead.
Justin is a proud Catholic who attends St. Paul of Tarsus and St. Thecla. His faith and values guide him: defending life, strengthening families, protecting parental rights, and fighting for the freedoms that define America.
Justin is running for Congress to protect the American Dream – for everyone. While the system is working for an elite few, many Michiganders are being left behind. Buying a home, starting a family, building a future are all slipping out of reach as inflation, debt, and government overreach crush hard-working families. Justin is running to restore

Make Michigan a hub for supply chain, warehousing, logistics and distribution centers…MSU has the #1 Materials and Logistics Management program in the country.
Promote Michigan as a destination for data center development and innovation due to our warehousing and manufacturing base.
Fix Our Education Pipeline
Halt Michigan's two-decade long scoring and standing decline based on National Assessment of Educational Progress statistics.
Improve Michigan's math and reading scores and reverse the educational decline impacting our children. From 2000 to today, the state’s ranking in math achievement fell from 14th to 36th, while its reading ranking declined from 20th to 42nd.
Model the educational framework of school that lead the national rankings, such as our own Macomb International Academy, which ranks as a top school in the country.
Promote trades:
- Offer special, targeted incentives to attend trade school.
- Work with private businesses to create internships at companies for students to prepare for permanent placement.
- Keep our educated youth here.
Strengthen Our National Security
National security powers Michigan’s economy, fortifies its infrastructure, and strengthens the backbone of our communities.
As home to Selfridge Air National Guard Base, one of America’s oldest and most capable air installations, Michigan leads the fight for homeland defense and global readiness.
We must:
- Champion Selfridge in Washington to ensure lawmakers recognize its unmatched role in national and regional defense and emergency preparedness and response.
- Secure sustained federal investment to modernize its facilities, enhance its mission readiness, and expand its joint-service capabilities.
- Strengthen partnerships between the base, local industries, and research institutions to drive innovation in aerospace, cybersecurity, and defense manufacturing.
- Highlight Michigan’s strategic position in protecting the Great Lakes, defending vital supply chains, and safeguarding America’s energy and manufacturing corridors.
- Mobilize community and state leadership to advocate together so that Selfridge remains a permanent fixture in America’s defense strategy.
